Celebration of Life Success!

But the angel said to them, "Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; He is Christ the Lord." Gospel of Luke 2:10&11

These words from an angel tell us what Christmas is really all about. God becoming flesh to live among us to give us hope and peace - not just on Christmas day, but all year long. Judy and I want to wish all of our friends a very blessed Christmas and a New Year filled with new and fulfilled dreams.

We also wanted to take a moment to praise God! The reason is simple, we have reached our $50,000 goal for this year's fund raiser. That's right, we've reached it and it isn't even Dec. 31 yet. Right now we are just over $52,500.

We can't begin to thank each one of you who has given to this year's Celebration of Life event. As I mentioned in an earlier blog, we are humbled by your support and prayers. Thank you SO much. We'd also like to encourage anyone who hasn't given yet to please consider doing so, even though we've reached our initial goal. Additional funds ease the burden of ongoing expenses throughout the year.

An update on Judy and me and her mom. I (Pat) had my first cataract surgery last week and it went great. Only trouble now is that one eye is in focus for distance, and one is not. Can't wait to have the right eye done on Dec. 30.

We are planning a big Christmas day celebration with Judy's mom at the nursing home she's in. All the kids and grandkids and great-grandkids are coming in. It should be a day for her to remember. Clarine is weak and continuing to decline health-wise. But she's a trooper who keeps surprising us day to day.

Judy will be having total hip replacement surgery on January 12. Believe it or not, she's looking forward to relief from the constant pain she's in now.

That's it for now. We'll try to write a year end blog to give you the final amount for the Celebration of Life fund raiser. We love you guys. Pat & Judy

I lead a team that develops marketing communications strategies. We produce videos, design websites, and create digital media for forward-oriented nonprofit organizations and businesses.

Because video storytelling plays such a significant part of online marketing, I am heavily involved in video production, every day. Our prolific little agency is constantly involved in helping businesses, and especially nonprofits, tell their unique stories. In social media. On websites. With video. If you aren't using video to tell your organization's story and to grow your business, why not?
